What the hell is going on?
Delays and a few setbacks both of personal nature and financial has prevented me from getting things back in order on DW360. Although I'm not exactly out of the woods yet, Enough has been waded though to permit me to return to my project.
Since my return from PAX East, I've been upgrading a few portions of the site. One thing in particular is the Registration / Members section. It seems we have been swarmed with fake accounts in the past month and a half. Unfortunately this has caused me to restructure the setup. One of those things is a few Mandatory fields. If these fields are not filled out, accounts will be deleted without fail (no exceptions). This may seem heavy handed, But I would rather travel this route than to open any possibilities of this site being used for spamming purposes.
I have also upgraded the forums and currently restructuring the Game Database. When will the site be fully 100% running? Its hard to say, Since a few of these updates require more work than others.. Below is the road map I have planned
- Finish with updating all components of DW360
- Get the severely long overdue Podcast up and running
- Get the Database fully updated with scheduled additions
- Rebuild the Reviews section
- And finally to streamline the site to reduce load times
This is just a tentative list, as time passes, some areas might need revisions and may delay progress on other areas.
